Since 2018 Meg has been working with a scientific team on the issue of marine debris in Southern Chilean Patagonia marine waterways. They have successfully published two papers in 2020 and 2023, available below.
Meg currently works in the areas of marine debris, biological monitoring, and biological security on the Channel Islands and the in the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary off of the Ventura Coastline. Her masters capstone presentation “Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary Marine Debris Assessment: Data Analysis, Best Practices, and Future Improvement Recommendations” is available to view below.

UC Santa Cruz Coastal Science and Policy Masters Program
Meg’s masters capstone project was an incredibly collaborative example of the strong and dedicated marine debris community in the Channel Islands National Marine Sancturay.
